NM ACO Certification (Module A) – Isleta Pueblo, NM

The AACIS New Mexico Animal Control Officer Certification Course is an instructor-led course designed for students who are interested in obtaining a Florida animal control officer certification as prescribed under Florida Statute 828.27(4)(a)(1).

Registrants will participate in open discussions and participate in classroom activities on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Role of public service
  • Animal control officer ethics & professionalism
  • Animal welfare assessments
  • Field operations
  • Investigative report writing
  • Interview skills
  • State and tribal animal laws
  • Animal knowledge
  • Internal and external parasites
  • Rabies awareness and prevention
  • Animal cruelty investigations
Completion Standards

Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.

Certifications Provided

Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation:

  • Animal Control Officer – State of New Mexico (Module A)

The general registration fee for this course is $600. (Payment received by Sep 6, 2024).

The late registration fee for this course is $650.0 (Payment received by Sep 19, 2024).
