Bite Stick / O.C. Spray – Milton, FL

The AACIS Bite Stick/O.C. Spray certification course is an instructor-led course designed for animal care and control professionals whose duties may require the use of bite sticks and O.C. spray to protect themselves or others from dangerous animals.

Registrants will participate in open discussions and demonstrate complete knowledge of Florida ‘use of force’ laws and how to apply that knowledge to incidents involving use of force against dangerous animals. Officers will demonstrate proper techniques in the use of both sticks and O.C. spray to protect themselves and others from dangerous animals. Additionally, officers will demonstrate the proper documentation and reporting required for all incidents involving use of force against animals.

Completion Standards

Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 75% or higher, and pass the practical assessment test in the required areas of instruction.

Certifications Provided

Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation as certified in the use of bite sticks and O.C. spray.
