AACIS Professional Animal Cruelty Investigator - Canine and Feline Investigations

The Canine, Feline, and Equine Investigations class is a 40-hour certification course for law enforcement and animal control officers that investigate crimes against canine, feline, and equine animals.

Registrants will participate in open discussions and participate in classroom activities on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Search and Seizure
  • Animal welfare assessments
  • Starvation and Body Condition Scoring
  • Crime Scene Analysis
  • Dangerous Dog Investigations
  • Hoarding Investigations
  • Large-scale animal removals
  • Investigative Report Writing
  • Case File Development
Completion Standards

Completion of this course requires that all registrants attend the entire course, participate in all discussions and hands-on training exercises, pass a written examination with a score of 80% or higher.

Certifications Provided

Registrants that successfully pass this course will receive a certification from the American Animal Cruelty Investigations School with the designation as an investigator of crimes against canine, feline, and equine animals.

Tuition Fees
  • The early registration fee for this course is $600.00 (Payment must be received by AACIS no later than May 3, 2024)
  • The  general registration fee for this course is $650.00 (Payment must be received by AACIS no later than May 17, 2024)
  • The late registration fee for this course is $700.00 (Payment must be received by AACIS no later than May 31. 2024)
